To continue the path of success that this model has reaped, the Cherry brand has presented the Cherry MX Board Silent Keyboard, following the design lines of its predecessor but incorporating the latest in MX Silent technology. The result of this renovation is a keyboard with a high-quality finish, silent switches and designed to improve writing make it an ideal keyboard for a wide spectrum of users. They have also implemented the technology «N-Key Rollover», which allows you to press up to 14 keys simultaneously without the "ghost«

MX Silent technology

MX Silent switches have unique rubber coating compared to conventional switches. The two internal components that it integrates reduce the sound of the clicks produced when pressing a switch. Cherry has chosen to use homegrown products instead of third-party mechanisms and has developed its own innovative solution to give you a unique feel when pressing each key. As with all keyboards using MX switches, these are comprised of a robust polymer shell, coil spring, and unique Gold Crosspoint contact technology. This exclusive model has a duration of 50 million keystrokes per switch.

The keyboard will be available with MX Red or MX Black

The MX Board Silent Keyboard will be available in two versions depending on the type of switch we want to incorporate. The option that incorporates the MX Red requires a pressure of 45 centinewtons to be activated, while the other model with MX Black is designed for people who prefer a slightly higher pressure, in this case 60 centinewtons. Like all MX switches, the bounce time is less than one millisecond.

The keyboard will be in a black and gray version regardless of the chosen switch, it can only be sent to Europe and will have a price of 149 euros.
