Starship's first test takeoff has been a success

If a few days ago we had to talk about the ship SpaceX starship it had launch problems and was delayed for a couple of days, today we are talking about its first test flight being a success. Starship took off a few hours ago without any problems from Boca Chica, Texas.

This supposes the first successful suborbital launch of the world's most powerful rocket. During today's test flight, which was to last 90 minutes, Starship reached an altitude of about 240 kilometers on its journey around the globe, but it exploded after a few minutes. SpaceX called off its first test flight attempt on Tuesday due to a frozen pressurizer valve.

After two days of waiting, Starship successfully carries out its first test flight

SpaceX's Super Heavy rocket is equipped with 33 powerful Falcon Raptor engines and is designed to be reusable. However, SpaceX was not going to take advantage of it this time, as the booster fell into the Gulf of Mexico shortly after launch, instead attempting to land upright.

According to SpaceX, the goal of today's test was to “inform and improve the probability of success in the future, as SpaceX rapidly advances the development of Starship“. Even if things don't go as planned during the flight, they will learn from it. SpaceX's launch system hopes to carry astronauts and cargo to the Moon, Mars and other places. It's the same system NASA will use to fly astronauts to the Moon during the Artemis III mission in 2025. SpaceX received Federal Aviation Administration approval earlier this month after years of testing as SpaceX prepared for its first official flight. test of the Starship.

The rocket has taken off and has followed the expected trajectory. Three of the engines have not started at the time of launch, and two others have turned off during the ascent, which is something that is expected in such a flight. The Super Heavy has 33 small engines instead of a few big ones so that a mistake is not so serious.

The problem occurred at the time when the Starship had to separate from the Super Heavy to continue its ascent. The separation has failed, and the Starship was still connected when the Super Heavy started the fall. Shortly after, the group has exploded and the remains have fallen on the Gulf of Mexico. It is not yet known if it was accidental or the technicians have used self-destruction, which is the procedure in this type of situation. The test lasted four minutes. In Space X they are happy and the test has been a moderate success because what was sought was to check its takeoff capacity.
