HardOCP talks in a video of the performance of the AMD RX Vega that they have in their possession and they compare it with a GTX 1080 Ti, which would nullify the performance leaks, given so far.
What is the performance of the AMD RX Vega? This is one of the biggest mysteries so far and one that will not be solved until early morning from Sunday to Monday, Spanish time. All the data so far pointed directly to a high-end AMD RX Vega competing with the NVIDIA GTX 1080. At least that's what we all thought, but HardOCP has arrived, who have received an RX Vega graphics (which have photographed and shown), compare it in performance with an NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti.
If we look at the data we have so far, the graphics card they have in HardOCP is the RX Vega XT, since the RX Vega XTX would be the one with liquid cooling and according to the preliminary data we have, the RX Vega XL will be the more 'basic' and will have custom heatsink by each manufacturer and possibly the PCB will also be custom. So based on the existing data, they have that of 4096 Stream Processors with 8GB HBM2 and with an AMD stock heatsink and that theoretically receives the name of RX Vega XT. Logically it is by discard.
Benchmarks have not given any, but they have uploaded a video, talking about the performance and they say that in a computer there was an RX Vega with a FreeSync monitor and on the other hand they had the GTX 1080 Ti with G-Sync and that they have been amazed with the performance the AMD graphics. We do not have data, but the truth is that if the Vega XT performs like the GTX 1080 Ti, we could be talking about a very good graphics, which would be priced below the AMD solution. We have on the other hand, that the price of about € 800, would be for the version with RL AIO, the Vega XTX, which would have factory overclocking and would logically be above the GTX 1080 Ti.
The truth is that the information given by HardOCP, without data, obviously, only by the opinion expressed, points out that we are facing a more powerful graphics card than we had imagined and what we were speculating, which, to a certain extent, would justify the delay in the arrival of the RX Vega to the market.
If this were so ... It would be a great feat for amd ... And of course the necessary spring to get out of the red numbers ... which have already dropped a lot ... An amazing recovery
