# Computex2017: AMD Has Nine Different Versions of AMD Ryzen Threadripper Processors

AMD plans to launch no less than nine processors in the AMD Ryzen Threadripper family, ranging from the most basic model of ten cores to a maximum of sixteen cores, but we do not have official prices yet.

During its Keynote, AMD did not finish giving data on the processors AMD Ryzen Threadripper, the processors of extreme range and enthusiast intended for combined configurations of gaming and editing of photography and video or programming. AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors will arrive in four internal configurations: 10 cores configured at 3 + 2 + 3 + 2, 12 cores configured at 3 + 3 + 3 + 3, 14 cores configured at 4 + 3 + 4 + 3, and 16 cores configured in 4 + 4 + 4 + 4. They are CCX modules with a certain number of cores, each of these, as we have explained, and which will be connected by Infinty Fabric. All of these processors support up to 64 PCIe 3.0 lanes and feature a Quad Channel memory controller. Some of these will arrive with the letter 'X', therefore they will have XRFR technology, which, we have already explained several times that does not work well, that it launches a frequency peak that lasts very little in time and that can be a Problem for the processor, because stress could shorten the life of the processor.

We will have nine models, captained by the Ryzen Threadripper 1998X with 16 cores and 32 threads, working at a base frequency of 3.5GHz and a Boost mode of 3.9GHz, it has a TDP of 155W and it has XFR. Next up is the 1998 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen Threadripper, running at a base frequency of 3.2GHz and a Boost mode of 3.6GHz, has a TDP of 155W and no XFR. We continue with the Ryzen Threadripper 1977X with 14 cores and 28 threads, working at a base frequency of 3.5GHz and a Boost mode of 4.0GHz, it has a TDP of 155W and it has XFR. The Ryzen Threadripper 1977 with 14 cores and 28 threads, operating at a base frequency of 3.2GHz and a Boost mode of 3.7GHz, has a TDP of 155W and does not have XFR.

We jumped on the 1976-core, 12-thread Ryzen Threadripper 24X, working at a base frequency of 3.6GHz and a Boost mode of 4.1GHz, it has a TDP of 125W and it features XFR. It will arrive accompanied by the Ryzen Threadripper 1956X with 12 cores and 24 processing threads, working at a base frequency of 3.2GHz and a Boost mode of 3.8GHz, it has a TDP of 155W and it has XFR. Next up is the 1956 12-core, 24-thread Ryzen Threadripper, running at 3.0GHz base frequency and 3.7GHz Boost mode, has a TDP of 155W and no XFR.

Going down to the most 'basic' we have the Ryzen Threadripper 1955X with 10 cores and 20 processing threads, working at a base frequency of 3.6GHz and a Boost mode of 4.0GHz, it has a TDP of 125W and it has XFR. Finally we have the Ryzen Threadripper 1955X with 10 cores and 20 processing threads, working at a base frequency of 3.1GHz and a Boost mode of 3.7GHz, it has a TDP of 125W and does not have XFR.
