Intel has officially announced the new Intel Basins Falls processors, as well as their price, the operation of Turbo Boost 3.0 technology and the AIO liquid cooling system that these processors will incorporate.
The new Intel Basins Falls processors made up of processors based on the Intel Kaby Lake-X and Intel Skylake-X architecture are already a reality and we have therefore reached the end of all possible speculations. Intel's new high-end and extreme processors come to meet the needs of the most demanding users and provide us with unique characteristics. Among the processors, we can find and officially confirm the Intel Core i9, of which rumors have been heard for years, but which are finally a reality.
We have on the one hand the Kaby Lake-X processors, which will be two, specifically the i5 7640X that will have four cores and four processing threads and the i7 7740X that will have four cores and eight processing threads. Then we have the processors based on Skylake-X, of which we will see in a first phase how three of them arrive, such as the i9 7800X with six cores and twelve processing threads, the i9 7820X with eight cores and sixteen processing threads and the i9 7900X with ten cores and twenty threads. In a second batch, four more will arrive, such as the i9 7920X with twelve cores and fourteen threads, the i9 7940X with fourteen cores and twenty-eight threads, the i9 7960X with sixteen cores and thirty-two threads and finally the i9 7980X, which has eighteen cores and thirty-six processing threads. He has also released the price of these, although we better leave it in a complete and simple table, right?

These new processors incorporate Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 technology, which until now had the main mission of improving work management in mono-core tasks, making the processor more effective. What this technology does is identify which is the best processor core, which will logically depend on the processor in question and will make it do single-threaded jobs that require intensive use of the processor, offering better performance compared to processors with fewer cores, but that are more powerful, making them even better for gaming.
This technology has been perfected and now you will not only be looking for the best core, but you will be looking for the two best cores and these will take care of the heavy lifting. Let it be known that the Core i5 and Core i7 will have this technology, in addition to the i9 7900X, so this latest processor will be the best on the market for gaming. This technology, possibly in future generations of processors, is common.
Along with these processors, with the most powerful possibly, a rather crappy active heatsink will no longer be implemented, such as the one that Intel has been offering that serves to get out of the way momentarily, the Intel TS13X will arrive, a liquid cooling heatsink, which will improve power dissipation, but it doesn't look like the bomb, really. This heatsink is priced between $ 80-100, which is not bad at all. This RL AIO will also be compatible with the LGA2011 / 1366 / 115x sockets and will come with a PWM fan that can go from 800rpm to 2200rpm and that has a blue led, like its blades.

Not bad prices really, they lowered the prices a bit and if they come with a decent heatsink from home, it is a very good purchase for people who want to play and work at the same time.
The 7800x must be a brown beast and for that price if I had to buy right now, I would go for that one without thinking twice.
Well yes, that 6/12 at that speed and with those improvements looks very good, anyway, for at least several years it is useless if it is to play, since the games continue to use 4 and 8 threads .
I know why with the 6700k until no more xD
Very low prices considering that Intel's current top of the range costs about € 1800, and offers the same as the i9-7900X ($ 999). Goodbye monopoly.
The one that I think has no place is the i5 ... which makes a processor with that price and 4/4 on an expensive platform for enthusiasts! ??
Man, if it performs more or less than the i7 7700 and with capacity for OC, it makes a lot of sense, really.
