There's a 'hidden' menu inside Sony's new PlayStation Classic
They discover a hidden menu in the PlayStation Classic Mini developed by Sony, which allows us to activate some interesting secondary functions.
Sony's new console, the PlayStation Classic Mini that is giving so much to talk about, especially for its poor performance. This console features an open source emulator that is hidden under a plastic casing inspired by the original console. Something quite interesting is that the emulator allows it to be manipulated and the Retro Gaming Arts team has found that connecting a compatible USB keyboard (Corsair and Logitech keyboards work) allows access to a hidden menu.
With just a keyboard you can 'hack' the new Sony PlayStation Classic Mini.
Accessing the menu does not require skill, complex key combinations or the use of hacks or exploits, we simply have to press the escape key. It seems absurd, but only by pressing escape, which we can find in the upper left area of the keyboard, to access a special menu that allows you to adjust the settings of the TV and even play with features that the normal user cannot access.
There is a video about it, where you can see this 'secret' menu inside the new Sony console that allows us to use functions such as seeing on the screen the amount of FPS we are playing, the load level of the discrete ARM processor and other settings, such as a cheat list for the different games.
Some of the options that appear have a risk and that is that they could mean that the console would be completely unusable, so we should not touch parameters of which we do not know the function.
We leave you the complete video where this 'hidden' menu is shown like a charm. Sony has undoubtedly been at ease releasing this poorly optimized and tuned piece of junk.
