Games on the Sony PlayStation Classic run smoother on the Nintendo Classic Mini

They run the Sony PlayStation Classic emulator on a Nintendo SNES and the performance is much better than on the Sony platform.

What's going on with Sony's PlayStation Classic is worthy of study. The console is a total sales failure and its performance is dismal. Clearly the company just wanted to take advantage of the pull of nostalgia, mimicking Nintendo but badly. The game catalog is poor and on top of that they use an Open Source emulator, something that Sony has pursued ad nauseam. Well, someone wanted to see how the games performed on the Nintendo console and the result is brutal.

Sony's PlayStation Classic titles perform better on the Nintendo Classic Mini

Nintendo has sold all the consoles it has put on the market and the resale of these consoles is through the roof. Sony's console is sold very badly, so much that they have lowered the price by 30%. What's more, the PlayStation Classic during the first week in Japan have sold 120.000 consoles. If we compare it with the Classic Mini, it is portrayed, since 369.000 units were sold in just four days.

A user has run the PlayStation Classic emulator on the Classic Mini. The result is as expected, it performs better on the Nintendo console. No type of FPS counter is used, but although it is not there, the difference in performance is clearly seen. In the Classic Mini you can see that the game is more fluid, leaving Sony completely ridiculous.

The PlayStation has rather poor and apparently badly cooled hardware. The passive system with a four metal plate doesn't look like the best by far. Total, that in the end they have released a toaster without the slightest sense, which sells fatally, of course. The next time they do it properly and not on the basis of a botch.
