Microsoft announces first games optimized for Xbox Series X

A few days ago, Sony beat Microsoft to the punch by revealing the PlayStation 5 launch lineup . It seems that, after a few days, Microsoft has finally been able to announce which games will be available. The Xbox Series X will also have games labeled 'Optimized for Xbox Series' . This means that the games have been developed specifically for Microsoft's console.

This new strategy from Microsoft is good for the company's console, but it could be bad for others. We could see how games optimized for the Xbox Series X are ported to other platforms without further ado. This means worse graphics performance, problems with textures and knowing the level of bugs.

Microsoft reveals game listing for Xbox Series X

Games optimized for Microsoft's console will utilize Xbox Velocity Architecture technology. This means significantly reduced loading times and screen transitions. We could also see improved graphics and enhanced ray tracing. Our biggest question mark is the availability of native 4K resolution at 60 FPS, something difficult to achieve on PC.

Titles like Halo Infinite, exclusive to the Microsoft console, are sure to perform and look better than others. Games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla might look and perform better than on PS5, but not quite up to the level of Halo. Although promises are one thing and the reality that we usually find is another.
