A Japanese media seems to confirm that Sony's PlayStation 5 console will be based on an 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen processor.
Last week it was officially announced that the PlayStation 5 will arrive at the end of 2020. Sony is launching it with Christmas in mind, a time when many technology gifts are given. The company's new console promises 4K resolution at 60FPS and Ray Tracing, something that seems quite ambitious. The console will be based on an AMD processor and graphics card.
A few weeks ago an AMD official dropped that the Sony console graphics would be a custom RX 5500. If this is confirmed, 4K and Ray Tracing will not be a reality in the next Sony console. Maybe later there will end up being several levels of console, thinking about all pockets.

Famitsu, a Japanese magazine, has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will feature an 8-core, 16-thread processor. It would likely be a custom version of the Ryzen 7 3700X processor. This had already been rumored and makes sense, as 8 cores have been considered the most logical choice.
If we do a little recap, we know that this console in addition to this processor, will use an SSD and GDDR6 memory. The only item that is yet to be revealed is the graphics card.
There is also a lot of talk that all the specifications of the PlayStation 5 will be revealed in February 2020. At the moment they are all speculation and cross-information. Let's also remember that a few months ago it was ready in MediaMarkt Sweden for a price of 1 euros.
The most logical thing is to get away from all the hype and wait quietly for Sony to reveal the specifications in February. And there are times when it seems that it will be more powerful than a desktop computer and there are other times when it seems that it will have the same performance as a Raspberry Pi.
