Sony will focus on exclusive Triple A games for PS5

They suggest that Sony wants to create a catalog of exclusive Triple A games for the PlayStation 5, leaving aside the indie titles.

The next Sony console, according to rumors, will have more power than a PC and already put, than a NASA computer. PlayStation 5 will be based on an AMD APU, but little else is known about her. If we stick to the leaked data from Navi 10, things don't look very good there. Sony also wants its console to be able to run games from previous generations.

Now the WSJ ensures that this console is focused on the most demanding gamers. The importance of independent developers and small studios will be reduced. And it is that the stage of indie games has already passed away. Sony is looking to work with large studios to nurture the platform for a large catalog of games.

Sony wants quality games for the PlayStation 5

The console market is facing demise. They do not have anywhere near the weight that they used to and all because their power is ridiculous. The PlayStation 4 Pro should run 4K @ 30FPS games, a fiction that lasted less than a sneeze. The console hardware was not that bad and the developers quickly got off the bandwagon.

Everything indicates that Sony is committed to the most advanced gamer market and that it is looking for a platform with quality games. They want intensive gamers and for this they want to develop a catalog of high-quality games. Something that could be shown publicly during the Tokyo Game Show.

And for this they will pull the checkbook, since what they are looking for are great games with exclusivity. All in order to try to attract the public, something that is increasingly difficult. According to WSJ sources: "people buy a console to play high-quality games available only on that platform, not smaller games also available on smartphones"

The competition is fierce and Sony (and Microsoft too) have it pretty black. The PC gaming market does not stop growing. Platforms like Stadia or Project xCloud are positioned as much better solutions.
