Next-gen developers have written very important checks that seem difficult to meet. A 4K @ 60FPS resolution with HDR and Ray Tracing is saying a lot, even with better solutions than the current ones. According to the latest leak, the Sony PlayStation 5 console will have a mid-range graphics card. It will feature 2304 Stream Processors, the same as the RX 5700.
A few days ago Sony insisted that its console could reach 8K resolutions in games, something that no graphics card on the market offers. It doesn't make much sense to offer this resolution either, as 8K TVs are extremely expensive. A promise, however well optimized a game is, impossible to fulfill with a modest RX 5700.

Based on specification leaks, will implement a processor 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen running at 3.2GHz. Zen2 architecture based on 7nm lithography enables many cores to be integrated efficiently. The consumption and therefore the heat generation of the processor should not be a problem.
Regarding the GPU that will be integrated into the PlayStation 5, according to the leak it will have 36 Compute Units. This effectively translates to a total of 2304 Stream Processors. According to the data, the GPU could work at a frequency close to 2.0GHz, offering a total power of 9.2 TFLOPs. It will be accompanied by GDDR6 memories with a bandwidth of 448GB / s if you use the 14GHz memories, if they use the 16GHz it could reach a bandwidth of 512GB / s.
Microsoft for its part will implement a GPU of 56 Compute Units, equivalent to 3584 Stream Processors at a frequency of 1.7GHz. If confirmed, the Xbox Series X will offer a power of about 12TFLOPs, 25% more than the Sony console.
Now we could talk about many things, but until December 2020, everything is speculation. If confirmed, of course the Sony console would be very obsolete as soon as it was launched on the market. NVIDIA will launch Ampere in 2020 and AMD for its part should launch solutions based on RDNA2. Relax, there are only 12 months left to find out.
