PlayStation 5 could be presented next June 4

There are a lot of unknowns right now regarding the next generation of consoles. The one we know more about is Microsoft's Xbox Series X, of which we know specifications and design, but no games. For its part, Sony is preparing an event for June 4 where they will give a lot of information about the PlayStation 5.

Due to the coronavirus this summer we will not have E3, so each one will have to organize their own event. Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat indicates on Twitter that for August Sony has scheduled the State of Play event. Before, on June 4 we will also have a Sony event, where the final design of the console could be presented.

Presentation of the PlayStation 5

In recent weeks the PlayStation 5 has been quite the protagonist. Several video game developers have indicated that Sony's console would be better than Microsoft's. We can not put our hand on fire, but the less it is curious that Epic Games has introduced Unreal Engine 5 under the PlayStation 5.

While we can't confirm it, Grubb has already made a lot of progress in the video game industry. Also, Sony usually waits until August, the eighth month of the calendar, to make big announcements. If all goes according to plan, we'll see the console and final specs in June and a ton of games in August.

Grubb in the past already public when it would be the last Nintendo Direct, among other events. Sony has not commented and may not do so until a few days before the event starts. The coronavirus pandemic has modified any plan established by the developers.

Foxconn, the Chinese semiconductor company, was closed for a few weeks due to the coronavirus. We do not know how this closure will affect the market and it is one of the key semiconductor manufacturers for the next generation of consoles. In addition, they also usually assemble different components of the same. Come on, an uncertain future, although hopefully on June 4 Sony will give us data from the PlayStation 5.
