Xbox One X sales rise during X series pre-orders, due to their confusing names
Apparently Microsoft has created some confusion with the name of the Xbox series X and Xbox One X. Sales of the old console have multiplied at Amazon.
Marketing experts insist that the name can be as important as the product itself. A name must be clear and not misleading, and the intelligence of buyers cannot be overestimated. That seems to be happening with users at Amazon, who have increased sales of the Xbox One X in the middle of the Xbox series X pre-order season.

A few days ago the reservations of the Xbox series X were opened on Amazon. There have been many problems to get them as is also happening with the PS5. The Xbox series X consoles have been sold out and there won't be a shipment for a few weeks.
But there are units for sale of the Xbox One X, which has been on the market for years but has apparently had a resurgence in sales. They have practically multiplied. How? It is easy to explain if we know that it was during the time of open reservations on Amazon for the Xbox series X, which has a name very similar to the current generation console.
It is no wonder that people have gotten confused and are ordering an Xbox One X when they wanted an Xbox series X. There we refer to the importance of giving a clear and concise name to avoid confusion like this. Sony can be criticized for choosing very continuous names naming their PlayStation, but at least they leave no doubt as to which is the newest. We go back to the case of the announcement of Wii U at E3 2011, many people believed it was just a tablet accessory for the Nintendo Wii simply because it added a "U" to the name of its most successful console.
