Coolmod publishes in its store the Raven Ridge APUs, based on AMD Ryzen processors

Coolmod has already published in its online store, the new AMD Raven Ridge APUs, which will carry AMD Ryzen cores and possibly incorporate AMD RX Vega graphics, but the latter, unconfirmed.

Initially we thought that they were the Raven Ridge APUs, but new information says that these APUs will be Bristol Ridge, with Excavator cores and Radeon R7 graphics, therefore they will not carry Zen cores like the AMD Ryzen and neither AMD RX Vega graphics. Here you can find the updated data and already correct.

Surprise from Coolmod, who just post on your store page what will be the Raven Ridge APUs, which from what we see, are falling and of which we have very little data. These APUs, as we can see, will have five models with four cores and four processing threads and two models with two cores and two processing threads. The highlight is that these will be based on Zen cores, just like the AMD Ryzen processors and theoretically these processors will make use of Vega graphics, although we do not rule out that the most basic models make use of Polaris graphics.

We totally do not know what the performance of these processors will be, but the most powerful models, if Vega graphics arrive, can be a perfect solution for gaming fans, who want an input equipment, especially economical, since Vega graphics should be allow all Triple A games to be played at 1080p with high graphic quality without major problems, although this is an assumption, at the moment, to be clear.

The prices of these processors are really devastating, since we are talking about € 116.95 in Coolmod of the AMD A12-9800, which will have a maximum frequency of 3.8GHz and possibly will have AMD Vega graphics, while the simplest model will be the A6 -9500, which will work at 3.8GHz and will have a price of € 56.95. This last APU has two cores and two threads, so it would not be ruled out if it integrated Polaris graphics, being a more optimal solution for multimedia than for gaming. It is possible that during the SIGGRAPH 2017, AMD of all the data of these processors and they will begin to be sold during the month of August.
