TRON accused of copying Filecoin whitepaper
They accuse TRON of having copied part of their whitepaper, that of Filecoin, something that could cost them a sharp fall in value, but Justin Sun, CEO of TRX, blames those who translated the document, throwing balls out.
Scandal in TRON, after Juan Benent, the founder of Protocol Labs, published an image about the TRON whitepaper in the English version, where he assures that at least nine pages are a copy of the IPFS or Filecoin document, something he has done Let Benet write to the other members of Protocol Labs. If you analyze the documentation, it seems to be true, that there are several parts that are a copy of Filecoin, so the TRX protocol is just a clipping of other projects.
Most of the parts of the text are not exact copies, but copies of vocabularies and structure have been made throughout a large number of sections of the document, which at least give the impression of being a copy of TRON, which appear to be a rather shabby copy of the Protocol Labs docs. Not only that, the core sections contain the same information as the Protocol Labs docs, with pretty similar details, based on the references shown. The following images explain BitSwap's strategies, explaining how nodes are structured within the respective networks. Within the whitepaper there are no references to the Protocol Labs document, which is why the Creative Commons license is violated, which prevents the use of all or part of the information.
Plagiarizing information is not the first time that it has occurred in the initial cryptocurrency offerings, but the problem is that it is in the tenth position of the global market with a market capitalization of 9.400 billion dollars, so TRX is the most important to the one they caught. Justin Sun, CEO of TRX on Twitter said: 'Our original version of the whitepaper is in Chinese and we have a very detailed reference to the latest Chinese version. The English, Korean, Japanese and Spanish versions are translated by volunteers. The translation missed numerous important details, not just for reference '
It seems an attempt to drain the bulk by Sun, who blames those who made the translation of the documents, which were posted on his website, without an apparent review, to see if at least things agreed or without even asking a second opinion. This problem can cost you a lot of money and a steep valuation drop, not to rule out a lawsuit for stealing intellectual property.
