Long-awaited Cardano testnet opens to the public ahead of Shelley's launch
According to a forum post, the launch means that all interested parties can now run nodes on the Cardano testnet. Previously, the testnet was open to just 50 group operators for debugging and testing purposes, but the smooth success of the latter meant that further progress was warranted.
Staking in the Cardano protocol is now open, according to a announcement made June 9. The blockchain shift to Shelley, a new consensus algorithm, is being implemented and managed in a tiered approach, with the launch as part of a broader roadmap.

Staking in cardano with Shelley
Tim Harrison, the chief marketing officer for Cardano's parent company, IOHK, noted that the testnet of Shelley is entering its final phase, bringing the network closer to a mainnet launch in July 2020. All stakeholder operators, including Shelley Incentivized Testnet (ITN) operators, can now join, Harrison tweeted:
Post note users can explore the staking group operation and delegations. With Harrison, more than 60 groups are currently active and doing Staking on the testnet. The current configuration, as of June 9, is “different» than Shelley's ITN, the mechanism previously used. Cardano notes that there will be «mistakes and some hits"as the protocol is still, technically, in its testing phase and is not the final product.
The Cardano forum contains various frequently asked questions for all new comment groups. Allowing new members to ask questions of the ADA community and share knowledge. The company may also establish a Telegram group to alleviate any concerns.
