Crysis Next would be a battle royale based on the franchise

A battle royale called Crysis Next by Crytek would have been leaked. There is nothing confirmed and we would have to wait to see if it is announced or not.

It seems that today if you don't have a battle royale mode you are nobody. After the success of Fortnite and PUBG, Call of Duty, Battlefield and even Tetris and Super Mario Bros have had battle royale modes along with many other attempts and copycats. Next in line appears to be Crysis, the Crytek saga that became popular because it was a particularly demanding game at the time and recently received a remaster.

Crysis also signs up for battle royale

Everything comes from a Twitter account dedicated to talking about leaks, which mentions that some documents about a Crysis battle royale called Crysis: Next have been leaked. Along with them, documents from Crysis Vr, Hunt Mobile, Ryse Next (which would be a follow-up to an Xbox One launch game) and Robinson 2 (a sequel to an ambitious PlayStation VR title) have been leaked.

Would a Crysis battle royale be possible? It would be more than likely, adapting Crysis 3 or Crysis Remastered to make that mode work. The destruction mechanics and the very detailed tropical and urban maps of the game would give a lot of play in a title of the genre. Although we would have to wait to see if it is a free to play or a paid game.

But for now, as is always the case with leaks, it can only be expected. A good time to announce it would be The Game Awards to be held in December, Geoff Keighley's event that always boasts of having announcements and new game trailers. But, unless outdated documents have been leaked, we can expect that in a few months, Crytek will announce Crysis: Next, its contribution to the battle royale genre.
