Four manufacturers, not specified by HardwareLuxx, say they have serious problems to launch custom models and each presents a different situation than the other.
AMD's problems with the AMD RX Vega are growing and everything indicates that it will be difficult to see custom models by the different manufacturers that work with AMD. Uncially the information we had is that they would arrive in mid-November, although later it was said in mid-October. It seems that these two dates could be real, as reported by HardwareLuxx. Manufacturers have serious GPU stock problems, which are not reaching manufacturers. It is assumed that the week of September 11 should have arrived, but some today do not have data on the date of entry.
The middle Hardware Luxx He has spoken with four manufacturers and each one has given him an answer. Although it does not refer to a specific manufacturer, it has arranged the comment of each of the manufacturers separately and things look pretty bad:
- Manufacturer A. The custom models of AMD RX Vega are already developed and ready to be launched, the company is waiting for AMD GPUs. They cannot estimate when more variants of the RX Vega 56 will be available.
- Manufacturer B. AMD is constantly focused on reference models, however availability is a major issue and causes delays for custom models. They do not have an availability date for custom models
- Manufacturer C. The manufacturer has no final specifications or release date for your custom design. They expect the GPUs to be delivered, they assume that no cards will be ready by mid-October.
- Manufacturer D. They are waiting for the GPUs, no comment on their custom designs.
Whatever the situation, the reality is that AMD's problems with the RX Vega are very serious and are hurting manufacturers and AMD itself, which is being left in a horrible position and showing the company's serious shortcomings to have Stock, others, that the chosen travel companions have not been the best, since they have not been able to cover the pressing needs of the company. The Ryzen have been a blow to Intel, but NVIDIA is still very comfortable with the competition presented by AMD, which is practically nil.
