Cyberpunk 2077: The cutscenes will be in the first person
Cyberpunk 2077 will try to be immersive and will never break first person. The cinematics we saw at E3? We will see them in the first person.
With Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red wants to make one of the most immersive games ever made. That's why they want to use the first person, so that we can see how our character feels and lives NightCity. And that philosophy is going to be transferred to cinematics.
Everything in Cyberpunk will be in the first person
For a while the official forums of Cyberpunk 2077 have wondered if they are going to impose the first person on us in the whole game. And the answer is yes, even in cinematics where we have no control and romantic scenes. That means we won't see scenes like the ones we saw at E3, at least in the same way they were shown to us.
In this way we will play the whole game without seeing our character act, except in moments in which recordings and virtual photos appear with the character that we have created in the character designer.
That means the designers have had to think carefully about placing all the important elements of Cyberpunk 2077 so that players can easily see them. The scenarios have to be designed in a realistic way and not hide important objects behind certain elements that do not ensure that the player will see normally. There's a lot of design studio behind all this and it's a huge challenge after working on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
