Jonsbo CR-401, a curious heatsink that hides the fan between two blocks of aluminum fins and has an RGB LED system.
Curious is the heatsink that the Jonsbo company has presented, quite different from what we are used to and is that this cooler has a hidden fan. The Jonsbo CR-401 heatsink, in terms of design, is a tower type, so this section is not new, although the difference is that the fan that is responsible for the dissipation is not visible, it is hidden between the aluminum fins dissipation and all covered, so that it is not seen. The design makes use of a double aluminum radiator, with five heatpipes each of these blocks running through it.
The grace of the heatsink is that both the fan and the upper part have RGB LED lighting, in addition to a small piece before the cover, in the area of the aluminum fins, which shows five openings also with RGB LEDs. Internally it hides a 120mm PWM fan that works at speeds between 800-1600RPM, which translates into a loudness of 18-25dBA. The dimensions of this system are 125x188x165mm and the entire heatsink, including the fan, weighs 860 grams.
This curious Jonsbo CR-401 heatsink, as we said, is characterized by being completely RGB LED that can be configured in 256 colors and although it is not mentioned if it is compatible with motherboard lighting systems, it would be logical that if you connect it to the motherboard, the lighting will be synchronized. It has compatibility with Intel LGA115X processors and AM4, AM3 (+) and FM2 (+) processors and has supports a maximum TDP of up to 125W. Regarding the price or the arrival to the market, no data has been given, but being a very new item and a little-known brand, they cannot swing much in the price.
