Intel launches new drivers that improve the performance of its Arc graphics
In February, Intel began releasing drivers that boosted the performance of their Arc graphics cards. With them, they improved the performance of a number of older DX9-based games.
In a new Arc test in March, Kitguru found that Intel's drivers have come a long way, but there's still room for improvement. Now, Intel's latest update offers another notable performance boost, focused on newer titles like Dead Space Remake.
Intel ends up releasing drivers for its Arc graphics
Intel claims that gamers can expect up to 63% more performance with the new controller in Dead Space Remake. It has also shared benchmark results for other games, with performance boosts in F1 22, Dying Light 2, Dirt 5, and Deathloop. Figures range from 4% to 17% improvement, depending on game settings. All games were tested with the DX12 API and with r ay tracing.
They have emphasized the affordability of their Arc A750 GPU. Its retail price is just $249, which is cheaper than the price of the RTX 3060 12GB, which is around $388. Intel claims that the Arc A750 GPU is 10% faster and delivers up to 72% more performance per dollar at 1440p resolution than Nvidia GPUs in games like Total War Warhammer III, Minecraft Legends, and the upcoming Dead Island 2.
Intel Arc & Iris Xe Graphics 4311 drivers is still in beta, but you can download it from the intel official website. While Intel only mentions improvements in the A750, these drivers also support the rest of the Intel Arc GPU range for laptops and desktops, and various iGPU solutions for 11th, 12th and 13th generation processors.
