The Dygma Raise, the special keyboard for gaming, is on Kickstarter and has almost reached the goal

Today we bring you a new, innovative product that comes from Spain and represents an innovation within the keyboard market, with a product designed by and for electronic sports or eSports. We are talking about the Dygma brand, which has developed the Raise keyboard, which is an innovative keyboard that aims to solve the problem that often occurs in many players, such as neck, back and wrist problems, which many already accuse and which could lead to long-term problems and ailments. Raise is a keyboard completely designed to increase gaming performance and improve comfort and health.

A normal keyboard forces us to put the wrists at an angle, bending them, but with Raise this angle is eliminated, since we can modify the position of the keyboard and allows the wrists to work at a natural angle, with a decrease in pressure and tension. over time. The distance between the two halves can also be adjusted, helping to reduce internal rotation of the shoulder. Additionally, the special software allows you to create different designs and switch instantly between these modes. The keys allow to have special behaviors depending on whether it is pressed once, several times or is held down. Also, the software and firmware are open source.

The space bar has been innovated, which is inherited from typewriters and no longer makes sense today. Curiously, the thumb is the strongest and least used finger. For this reason they have divided the space bar into four parts, adding four additional spaces below it. They are comfortable to use, since they are in the area of the space bar that we are already used to using. This extra row of four keys has been tested by professional gamers, programmers, designers and they liked it very much. When the space bar is pressed, this bottom row is not accidentally pressed.

Something that we really liked is that the mechanical switches are hot swappable, contrary to what happens with conventional keyboards. Raise makes use of Kailh keys. The keys also have individualized lighting and have True N-key rollover technology, which allows you to press six keys at the same time, without losing any keystroke.

The guys from Dygma visited the Kaihua factory where the Kailhs are made, which is located in Shenzhen and were impressed by the quality of the installations and the quality of the switches. We can also choose between three types. The speed switches, which act at 2mm and have a travel of 4mm. The Kailh Speed Switches have a performance of 50g, a total travel of 3.5mm and 70 million clis. We have the Gold, clicky type and 1.4mm actuation, Bronze, clicky type and 1.4mm actuation, Silver, linear type and 1.1mm actuation and Copper, touch type and 1.1mm actuation. We also have the low profile Kailh, with an activation force of 50g, travel of 3mm and actuation of 1.5mm, with a useful life of 70 million keystrokes. We will find in these the Red linear type, the Brown, of the tactile type and the White, of the Clicky type.

This spectacular and different keyboard Dygma raiser is currently on Kickstarter and we can support the project, at various levels and that will begin to be sent in September 2018. The goal is € 85.000 to start the project and the manufacture of the keyboards and they already go for more than € 76.000 , so they are very close to the target. Hopefully, when they are done, send us one to test it, because we find this keyboard very interesting.
