EK Water Blocks is updated for AMD Ryzen

EK Water Blocks officially announce that new liquid cooling blocks can now be ordered for AMD Ryzen processors.

AMD Ryzen processors are just around the corner, despite the fact that rather little is known about them and we have not yet been able to see them officially. This means that the major brands that manufacture heat sinks and liquid cooling systems must update their equipment to support motherboards that have an AMD AM4 socket, the new socket for Ryzen processors and EK Water Blocks already announces availability of new blocks with this socket.

EK Water Blocks does not want to wait any longer and has confirmed that all its processor water blocks will be available for the AMD AM4 socket, be it Ryzen processors or the A Series APUs called Bristol Ridge, through a small update. The update is necessary because the anchoring system varies a bit with all the AMD sockets seen so far, this means that all the Supremacy EVO mounting systems are not compatible with this new socket. This forces this to redesign the mounting of the plates and update Supremacy EVO to add AM4 compatibility.

Sockets for AM4 motherboards in a new EK Supremacy EVO system are available today. We do not have to buy extra parts with the new Supremacy EVO, we only have to select the AM4 socket and logically the water block that we have. The updated processor blocks are the EK-KIT S in any variant, the EK-KIT L in any version and variant, the EK-KIT P in any variant and the EK-KIT X in any variant.

All-in-one Predators, to support the AM4 socket, will need the EK-XLC Predator AMD Upgrade Kit, which is sold separately. EK also announces that it will launch dedicated blocks for the X370 chipset motherboards which will be released in the coming weeks.
