The first results are appearing in HWBot with the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X processor and this, for the moment, offers excellent performance and promises a lot.

The expected AMD Ryzen processors, after the avalanche of reviews in the first hours since the official arrival of these processors, with the exception of their arrival in Spain, are showing that they are quality processors and that they can give a lot of themselves. Right now they are still a bit green and in gaming they are in some cases below Intel processors and in others they are matched, but with a very competitive price and without a doubt, they will soon improve in performance.

While we wait for that, expert overclocker der8auer has managed to push an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X processor to its limits. We recently mentioned him because he removed the IHS from a Ryzen processor on his third attempt. Now he's stopped playing around and started pushing the AMD processor to its limits, achieving a maximum frequency of 5802.93MHz with a x44.5 multiplier and a bus speed of 130.4MHz.

Some reports list all the records as if they were achieved with the same processor, but we've been searching on HWBot and found that der8auer only holds the record for frequency and the GPUPI for CPU, which is a less common benchmark. The Cinebench R15 record belongs to elmor, a Swedish overclocker who scored 2454 points , while the Belgian overclocker Massman achieved the SuperPI 1M record with 7.829 seconds and a remarkable 45707 points in Geekbench3 multicore.
