Scythe Choten, the heatsink that helps dissipate heat from the processor and also from the VRMs and RAM

The Scythe Choten processor has been presented, a heatsink designed not only to dissipate heat from the processor, but also to improve the temperature of the VRM phases and RAM memories.

In order for the processor to last for many years and not overheat, especially in summer, manufacturers develop coolers that can handle everything. One of the best manufacturers of heatsinks is Scythe, who has just introduced the Choten heatsink, designed for all types of processors. This cooler features four 6mm thick chrome-plated copper heatpipes that run from the base of contact with the processor to the aluminum fins, for efficient heat transfer and thus dissipate heat as quickly as possible.

This heatsink has the characteristics of not only cooling the processor, but also creating an air flow that helps keep the temperature of the VRMs and RAM memories at bay. This is achieved by the Kaze Flex 120mm PWM fan, which can run between 300RPM and 1200RPM. This fan offers us an air flow of between 16.6-51.17CFM, with a static pressure that ranges from 0.076-1.05mmH2Or and most importantly, the loudness ranges from 4dBA to 24.9dBA.

Rubber pads have been arranged in this fan in the corners, which allows some of the vibrations produced by the fan to be absorbed when it rotates, especially at high revolutions. This fan has high quality bearings, which offer us a useful life of at least 120.000 hours of use.

Regarding the dimensions of this heatsink, they are 130x120x130mm in height and it has a total weight, including the fan, of 550 grams. This heatsink is compatible with Intel LGA1151, LGA 1366 and LGA775 processors, as well as AMD AM2 / 3 (+), AM4 and FM2 / 3 (+). The price of this heatsink will be around € 35.
