Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer won't come out until 2022
Cyberpunk 2077's lag will affect its multiplayer. It's such a great game mode that it won't be coming next year.
A few days ago, the delay of Cyberpunk 2077 to September 17th of this year was announced for all versions: PC, Google Stadia, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. This delay was deemed necessary to improve the game's quality, but it won't improve the working conditions of the studio's employees . Now it's known that the delay also affects the multiplayer mode, which was recently confirmed.
It will be a huge multiplayer mode
CD Projekt Red has been able to confirm that multiplayer will also be affected by this delay. They started with him very recently, because it was not until a few months ago that they confirmed it after a long time thinking about how to do it.
And it is that the multiplayer of Cyberpunk 2077 is not conceived as a fast mode but as a complete experience. They are practically redesigning the game to reflect well the needs of playing as a team as if it were two or more players in an RPG game against a master.
On CD Projekt RED they see it as their other AAA caliber title and it was going to come out some time after the game's release. But now that the main game has been delayed, so will the multiplayer mode. Even when? Well, until at least 2022 because it won't even come out in 2021.
That means that CD Projekt RED will support the game when PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have been on the market for more than a year. Therefore, we can speculate that Cyberpunk 2077 will also come to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 apart from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC. And the truth, given that the game takes eight years of preparation and comes out at the end of the life of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we doubt that these are the only consoles in which the game comes out.
