The YouTube trailer of Battlefield V, involved in a great controversy for adding a woman as the protagonist
The new installment of Battlefield V, has been involved in a great controversy, by featuring a woman as the protagonist, something not very faithful to the history of World War II.
Lately, the video game industry is not in the best possible moment, since practically all the great games that are being launched, are involved in a great controversy. Battlefield V aimed to be a great game with very good reviews, like its predecessor, Battlefield 1, but the new game in the Battlefield series has been very badly rated in its YouTube trailer. The game has been showered with dislikes, accumulating a total of 200.000 dislikes, against 219.000 likes.
Battlefield V very badly rated on YouTube.
The game has been very harshly criticized, as soon as the new game trailer was released, where it is glimpsed, in just two minutes of the trailer, that in this title they have opted for a more arcade gameplay, leaving the essence of the Battlefield saga. Less realism has been sought and historical situations have worsened, these being more inaccurate, something quite complicated today, and more considering that World War II is a recurring theme.
Most of the criticism comes from the inclusion of a woman in the game, criticized because women did not participate in that contest. It is not only that, it is also that the woman wears a prosthesis on her arm, something that is not even by chance accurate, at a historical level, but there is more, since the woman carries a light machine gun, which would have a third of the woman's weight. Come on, the game is not realistic and even less historically faithful.
During that warfare, a total of 416.800 died on the US side, of which only 16 were women, so it has not been particularly good to put a woman in the front line of combat. We must add that, there were no women at the front on the British side, but they did have a great role working in the shadows, with supplies for the troops.
A historically inaccurate game that has been thrown headlong into arcade mode, which also has samurai swords, a Kratos or a blue-faced Braveheart, but it seems that what has sat especially badly is the bionic woman with a leading role, where everyone highlights that they are looking for a realistic title, highlighting that, if they sell it set in World War II, it should be something more exact.
Progressive and feminine fashion is ruining every stratum of society.
