American companies recommend that the Federal Reserve generate its own blockchain and cryptocurrency
They recommend that the Federal Reserve of the United States work on a blockchain system to operate and also develop its own cryptocurrency to streamline operations.
The states have not yet finished seeing how to regulate cryptocurrencies, so they remain in a kind of limbo. The United States Federal Reserve or FED has shown interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies on several occasions, pointing to a possible implementation of these in the future, through a blockchain system integrated within the central bank. This is taking shape according to the authorities and members of the FED, who propose faster and safer payment systems, they would even be thinking of developing their own cryptocurrency within the Federal Reserve or the implementation of the blockchain within the traditional financial infrastructure.
The Rapid Payments Task Force, which is how the Federal Reserve's specialized committee on payment methods is known, has published this month a final report on alternative proposals to the payment system made by community members and that would have as its objective the "identifying and accessing alternative approaches to implement safe, ubiquitous and fast payment systems in the country." The Task Force has had actors such as suppliers, consumers, different government agencies, commercial, regulatory and academic organizations from all over the country, who belong to the payment services industry. They stand out from all these organizations specialized in blockchain and digital currencies, such as Eccho, Hub Culture, Kalypton Group, Corporation Nanopay, Ripple and consultants such as Troght Matrix and Xalgorithms.
All these companies have already worked on several blockchain development projects, who have proposed to the Federal Reserve, make use of distributed ledger technologies in order to make real-time settlements and international payment, which can be adapted to the systems banking and non-banking. Perhaps the most risky proposal is the one based on the cloud, Wingcash, where they recommend the development of a software and network specific to the cryptocurrency and that will be managed by the Federal Reserve with its own internet domains.
