Enchanted Portals is going ahead and has a publisher's interest

Enchanted Portals, that game that many called Cuphead's plagiarism, will come out ahead. An editor has taken an interest and they are going to delay their kickstarter campaign.

A few weeks ago a trailer was released for Enchanted Portals, a classic cartoon-style XNUMXD platform action game for two players. If it sounds like Cuphead to you, it's normal because it's heavily inspired by it, and its creators don't deny it. Many fans have not taken it well and accuse him of blatant plagiarism, especially when they decided to ask for money on Kickstarter to get it off the ground.

But the two-man team, amid all the controversy and noise it has generated, has seen a publisher take an interest in keeping Enchanted Portals going. On the 22nd they commented that they are in negotiations with an editor. That is good news because if it goes well they can start developing the game much earlier than expected and make it bigger than they had in mind.

Also, they have listened to the critics. They admit that they took a lot of inspiration from Cuphead to make Enchanted Portals and they consider their game to praise the work of Studio MDHR. But they understand that they have to do something that differentiates it and that is why they are going to make certain changes to the mechanics and the soundtrack to make it more in line with the game.

In the end, this story has turned out well and for now they do not have to ask for money on Kickstarter since a company is going to finance the development. If it goes well, the game will be released on PC and Nintendo Switch, and since it is going to take a long time, it will be able to reach Xbox Scarlett and PlayStation 5. An apparently happy ending for a team of two people who excitedly put a game they wanted do.
