EVGA quickly gets the cut and denies that they are working on graphics cards with AMD VEGA graphics chips, as had been rumored.
Yesterday, late in the day we echoed information which said that EVGA could start working with AMD from the AMD VEGA architecture. The information, which we echoed, spoke about the technical limitations on the part of NVIDIA when working with its GPUs and the supposed restrictions imposed on the company and other large companies that work with said company.
Everything has been orchestrated by the Italian medium bitsandchips.it, an Italian medium specialized in hardware that has published the information for the first time. According to this medium 'according to our sources, EVGA could market some graphics card equipped with AMD VEGA GPUs'. This we now know is not true, because EVGA has quickly come out to report that this was totally false.
The Italian media itself is the one who says that NVIDIA would be harming EVGA's business model, something that the company has never said officially. Within the news of the Italian media they made reference to the curious thing that EVGA contained the same letters as VEGA, only the letter 'E' and the letter 'V' have to be changed, to read one name or another. It is a completely casual anagram, nothing to do with reality.
Jacob Freeman, EVGA Product Manager, has quickly taken to Twitter to deny such information. The truth is that the news has spread like wildfire, for the simple fact of being very juicy, since the company has only manufactured NVIDIA graphics cards for many years and the truth is that in recent times it has seen its margin of work, something normal, since every time there are more brands competing for the same cake, so the portions are reduced.
This is 100% untrue. https://t.co/VOKoxScyQ2
