EVGA has presented a configurator, which only has hardware manufactured by themselves

EVGA has developed a tool called EVGA DIY Configurator, which allows us to configure our equipment, but only those sold by EVGA, the rest we will have to look for elsewhere.

Brands are looking for new ways to attract users to buy their products and EVGA has developed a new system, a customizable configurator, which allows us to select different components, group them together and also offers us a discount if we end up buying everything. Said EVGA DIY Configurator, it is not a really attractive tool and is unlikely to be successful, although the idea is quite good. We do not know how much these products will cost and if they will be better priced than elsewhere, but it should be noted that we cannot buy a hard drive, processor or RAM, as EVGA does not sell these products.

This configurator allows us to choose a graphics card, a tower, a power supply, a motherboard, an AIO liquid cooling and different peripherals. An SLI bridge can also be purchased. As we have highlighted, all the mentioned components are developed by EVGA and as we mentioned, we will have to look elsewhere for the processor, RAM, hard drive and monitor. The value depends on the components selected and the discounts applied to us. The configurator will prevent us from choosing components that are not compatible with each other, to avoid any kind of configuration problem.

Some configurations may be worth it, being able to register a discount of almost $ 200, but it depends on many factors and many moments, in addition, buying a part of the hardware on one site and another part of the hardware on the other hand, is a mess. We must emphasize that we can only buy components from EVGA, from no other manufacturer. Another drawback is the RMA, which we must process directly with EVGA. The truth is that the idea is good, but it has small blank spaces that do not encourage the purchase.
