The Face ID of the iPhone X is a bit racist: it has problems to recognize the face of the Chinese
Face ID does not work well on Apple's iPhone X, at least with the Chinese, since a woman unlocks the terminal of a co-worker, without any relationship.
The release of Apple's 'revolutionary' and 'innovative' iPhone X has brought nothing but headaches to the company, since they come with quite a few problems at the hardware level, but the last problem detected is almost a joke. The new terminal that has the very expensive facial recognition technology has many problems to identify the face of users, but not all, only Chinese users. This problem is so serious that the company has promised to return the money in full to those who want to return the terminal.
This problem has been detected by a Chinese woman, who has left her terminal to a friend, who has unlocked it with her face, without subterfuge of any kind, using Face ID technology. The company with the bitten apple has long boasted that its face identification technology is the most powerful developed and they have even gone out of their way to ensure that 'the technology of easy recognition of the competition sucks'. Well the competition would suck, but the iPhone X is racist.
They have said from the Cupertino company that the probability that a person can unlock the terminal through facial recognition is very remote, 1 in 1.000.000, while with Touch ID it is 1 in 500.000. The Chinese woman has said that the co-worker has unlocked the iPhone X, even though she has performed the easy scan several times, to improve security. The Chinese woman, called just Yan, called Apple to report the problem and the staff even assured her that this was "impossible" because it was simply what the press release said. This user did not admit the answer and went to the Apple store for the workers to verify what happened.
After several tests, the employees found that women could unlock the iPhone X, regardless of who the owner was. Initially they thought it would be a problem at the terminal, so they returned the money. The problem is that the same thing happened in a second terminal. This case happens a few weeks after a 10-year-old child in the United States accessed the mother's terminal, using the same technology. In the end the terminal does not turn out to be as good and advanced as they have sold or they have developed it a bit racist.
