The new images of the next Call of Duty title developed by Sledgehammer Games. This new installment could be set in World War II. There is still no official announcement from the Activision company, nor from the developer Sledgehammer.
Rumors suggesting the next Call of Duty will be a return to the series' roots could be true if the latest leak is confirmed. The leak indicates that this new 2017 installment could be called Call of Duty: World at War II. This would see the series return to its World War II setting.

The leak comes from the YouTube channel TheFamilyVideoGamers , which accurately leaked data and information about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare long before Activision revealed the first official details of this installment. At the moment, only images and promotional material (a metal case) of the possible new Call of Duty have been leaked , and there is no official information about this new release. It's also worth remembering that earlier this year, Activision mentioned that Call of Duty would return to its roots with Sledgehammer Games , given that this studio had already been developing a third-person game in the series in collaboration with Infinity Ward . That project was canceled by Activision , which preferred to focus on supporting Modern Warfare 3, which was planned for that time.
Now, with this new leak, official data and details of the new Activision game are unknown, but everything seems to indicate that it could be set in World War II, just like the cancelled Sledgehammer project that was going to be set in Vietnam.
In the absence of official data, these leaked images have spread through the official Call of Duty community forums.
