ASRock Intel Kaby Lake motherboards leaked

ASRock's gaming motherboards for Intel Kaby Lake processors show a bit.

ASRock reveals its Z270 Extreme4 and Z270 Gaming K6 motherboards, which are naturally designed for Intel Kaby Lake. These motherboards have an LGA 1151 socket and will support DDR4 RAM. The designs of the boards have been designed to be very attractive, that is why RGB LEDs have been installed in the VRM heatsink, the sound card area and under the chipset heatsink.

The ASRock Z270 Extreme 4 has a design in black and white colors, with twelve VRM phases for the processor, which will provide stability in overclocking tasks. It has four DDR4 RAM memory slots supporting up to 64GB with a maximum frequency of 3866MHz. It has three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, of which two will be reinforced with a steel plate, which is becoming a general norm on high-end motherboards, and it will also have three PCIe 3.0 x1 ports, two Ultra M. 2 for SSD and an M.2 port for WiFi.

It has eight SATA III ports, Realtek ALC1120 sound with support for 7.1, as well as having Purity Sound 4 technology and an Intel I219V Gigabit Ethernet network port. Rear we see that as video outputs it has VGA, DVI-D and HDMI ports and for devices it has six USB 3.0 ports. Unfortunately it does not have any USB 3.1 Type-C port.

We have on the other hand the ASRock Z270 Gaming K6, which is not much different from the Extreme 4, except that the design this time is in black and red. It shares the known specifications with the previous model, but in this case the audio technology is based on the Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 3 chip, it would have two Gigabit Ethernet ports and in this case the three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots would have shielding.

    1. Maybe now is the time to wait for the new Intel and AMD processors to arrive, see how they perform and that the 'obsolete' families go down, to save money. Until February I would wait.
