Fortnite: Users are upset with a vague pet dog reskin

Fortnite sells us as a novelty a new pet dog that barely has any difference from the previous one. Remember that they ask us for real money to have V-Bucks to buy it.

This Season X of Fortnite is going a bit bumpy. Epic Games introduced the GROSS, a kind of mecha controlled between two players, which many players consider to be very OP and are working on a rework. Now they're upset with a new pet skin, which is pretty much the epitome of minimal effort.

These two pets look a lot alike

Some time ago, a pet dog that we carry on our backs and that players of our team can pet was put in the rotating Fortnite store. It does not give you any explicit advantage, but it serves as another element of vanity, very important to give the feeling that you are not bad played as it happens in certain institutes where there are cases of bullying.

Now, there is potential in Fortnite's cosmetic pets and today's store item rotation has seen a new pet. All good until we see that it seems that Epic Games has not tried much. A Reddit user has compared the new Gunner mascot to the old one, Bonesy, and has seen that the cosmetic changes are minimal.

A small change in eye color, a slightly more yellowish coat and a logo on the scarf. Those are all the differences because it reuses the same modeling. We understand that the design of new elements, even if they are cosmetic, is complicated. But from a giant like Epic Games, fans expect a little more when it comes to introducing new cosmetics to their money printing machine. Because we remember, these cosmetics are only obtained through V-Bucks that are obtained mostly with real money. 1000 V-Bucks for a new dog that has changed little.
