Fortnite saw a significant increase in viewing hours on Twitch in the month of October, according to data from StreamElements and SullyGnome. As Epic Games put content into Fortnite Chapter 2 content, viewers on Twitch consumed 31% more hours of Fortnite than in the month of September. That put it at number 2 behind League of Legends for the most viewed games of the month on the platform.
League of Legends had multiple events that attracted the attention of viewers. Compared to September, League of Legends viewing hours increased by 62%. But Apex Legends was the game that saw the biggest increase in viewership last month. Their hours watched increased 81% month over month.
According to StreamElements, October was a great month in terms of graphics, and League of Legends managed to return to first place on Twitch thanks to the World Championship, while Fortnite received a little boost with the introduction of Chapter 2.
