The new season of Fortnite is on its way, but it has been long delayed. And he does it again for another week.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 will now begin on June 11, Epic announced Thursday. This is the second time Epic has delayed the next season.
A new season that is delayed
In mid-April, Epic Games announced it was delaying the season's start date from April 30th to June 4th. While Thursday's one-week delay is the second for Season 3, it's just one of many so far in the development of Fortnite Chapter 2. Chapter 2's first season also suffered several extensions on its way to the delayed Season 2, ultimately being pushed back by about a month from the original plan.
But Season 2 has also been one of the most content-packed to date in Fortnite. Along with regular game updates, Epic Games has also been holding more in-game events than is usual. There have been several different gigs in the game, the premiere of a trailer for Cristopher Nolan's Tenet movie last week. To that is added the peaceful map known as Party Royale.
It is expected that, as usual, at the end of this season there will be a special event in the game that will advance the history of the game will be a transition point to a slightly altered map in that new season. This time, the event will be called The Device, and it will begin on Saturday, June 6 at 20:00 p.m., Spanish peninsular time. Players will be able to see it live if they enter to play up to 30 minutes early to ensure they get a spot and witness it live. It is unknown what exactly that event will do, but it is very likely something that can be seen from all over the map.
