Fuchsia is the operating system developed by Google, its mission is to end the lack of control that Android has become and to end the little interest of smartphone manufacturers and telephone operators in keeping the operating system safe and updated.

Surely if we ask you for the name of Google's mobile operating system, you will surely answer with Android, which is the first that comes to mind. This is one of the different operating systems by Google and in this case it is based on Linux, like Chrome OS, the version of Android, so to speak, intended for laptops and based on the cloud. For some time there has been an operating system in Google that would be destined to replace them and that has been baptized as Fuchsia and that has an open Source profile and that is not based on Linux.

Android has different applications installed natively, but the most problematic point is the absence of a solid platform to offer updates to users. The problem is that Google develops the code and then the smartphone manufacturers and mobile phone operators must implement it on the equipment, but this has a cost and they are not normally involved in updating it excessively, because it involves costs, being more profitable to launch a new mobile and not waste 'time' on an 'old' smartphone. These problems cause Android to perform poorly and with normally poor performance and with rather lame security. Google's solution is to load Android by developing a new operating system from scratch that solves all these problems and the solution has been Fuchsia.

In August of last year we learned about the first features of this mysterious operating system. Fuchsia already has an interface, much more elaborate and that has been baptized as Armadillo, which has a dedicated tablet mode, divided screens and suggestion panels. This is only the basic essence at the moment, although this operating system is very interesting because it is a low-level based operating system. This means that Fuchsia does not work under the Linux Kernel and uses a GPL license, which has an internal microkernel called Magenta and which combines Apache 2.0, MIT and BSD (3-Clause) licenses. All the 'legacy' material that was linked to java has been left behind. The interface has been developed based on the Flutter SDK and the apps will be based on Dart.
