Galaxy Unpacked: Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + officially presented
Today is the day most awaited by all fans of the South Korean manufacturer, and by all lovers of technology in general. A few minutes ago, Samsung's flagships were officially presented, the highly anticipated Galaxy S8 and S8 +.
The two new terminals of the Samsung Galaxy family have finally arrived, after months of rumors and leaks of all kinds, in which all the features have been shown almost completely, and even so they have managed to surprise us with the Galaxy S8 and S8 + .
The South Korean giant, once again shows us some terminals above the rest, as they did last year with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. In this case, Samsung has chosen to launch the two terminals in its Edge format, leaving aside any flat version.
Samsung wanted to leave us all amazed with its borderless screen, or as they call it, infinite screen. Although for this, they have had to do without the physical buttons characteristic of the brand. But thanks to this, they have managed to manufacture the smartphone with the best design so far.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 +
The Galaxy S8, the smaller of the two, has dimensions of 148.9 68.1 × × 8.0mm, with a weight of 152g. What makes it a fairly compact terminal. While the dimensions of the plus increase to × × 159.5 73.4 8.1 mm, reaching a weight of 173g.
As for the screen, the S8 will mount a panel of 5.8 inches and the S8 +, of 6.2 inches. They will have a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels (WQHD +), with a density of 571ppp y 529ppp respectively, with the new format 18.5:9, so they won't form two perfect squares like the LG G6.
To outperform their rivals, they will make use of a Soc Snapdragon 835, Qualcomm's most powerful chip. In the case of Spain, it will bring the Exynos 8895, a chip made by Samsung itself, which is at the same level as the 835. In terms of memory, they have 4GB de RAM y 64GB storage, expandable by using microSD cards up to 256GB.

As expected, they will not only have the fingerprint reader, which is located at the back of the terminal, right next to the camera, but will incorporate a iris scan and a software of facial recognition. With these security methods, Samsung claims them to be the safest phones on the market.
As it already had its predecessor and the unfortunate Note 7, these two terminals maintain the certification IP68K, so they will be resistant to water and dust, having a screen protected with Gorilla Glass 5.
In terms of connectivity, they come equipped with the latest: 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, NFC, GPS, 3.5mm jack and as, USB Type C. The speakers will be signed by the renowned brand A.K.G., which have also manufactured the headphones that will accompany the smartphone, and which appear to be of high quality.
In the software section, they come with the latest version of Android 7.0Nougat, with a layer of customization, which looks little like the old versions of TouchWiz. They also have the expected personal assistant called Bixby, which can be used from its physical button, on the side of the terminal, as with a voice command. This personal assistant will not only answer the typical questions, but will understand what we say in our natural language. It is initially available in English and Korean, and new languages will be introduced through updates.
