Sega announces its Game Gear Micro, in four colors

Sega is celebrating its anniversary and announces not one, but four micro-versions of the Game Gear. Four colors and four game selections.

Sega is celebrating its XNUMXth anniversary. He is turning sixty and he is celebrating it in different ways. Today he has made the announcement that he is going to celebrate it by releasing, at least in Japan, four micro versions of the Game Gear with pre-installed games. Yes Four.

Remembering the Sega laptop, for four

Known as the Game Gear Micro, in the next few months a series of micro consoles will arrive in Japan that will give the opportunity to play notebook classics. The grace is that there will be four versions, and to possibly encourage collecting, each of these four versions in four different colors will have four characteristic games.

A curious selection although very focused on the Japanese public and with some surprises like Baku Baku Animal. Each one will cost about 50 euros to change and they will sell a pack that for an extra equivalent to about 100 euros, which will include an amplifying lens so that we can see the game better.

Another thing is that the size is very small and will live up to its word "micro", so the control may not be the most ideal when playing. For now there are no plans to see the Game Gear Micro in the West unless it is through import. And seeing that many games are designed for the Japanese public and do not have official localization, we do not expect its arrival unless they change the catalog of the consoles.
