The manufacturer Synology has announced an extension of its warranty services up to 5 years from its purchase with its new Extended Warranty Plus program. Activating this new plan allows customers to extend the original two-year warranty on their Synology devices and extend it up to five years from purchase. With this they receive comprehensive support for hardware and software-related issues, including drop-in replacement services and other advanced solutions; for longer than expected.
Synology's new Warranty Plus option hopes to make it easier for customers to effectively protect their products through longer coverage and a more convenient support process. The receipt of an early substitution enables customers to accelerate the recovery of their systems by migrating data and essential services to an operational unit early in the process. With all this, Synology wants to increase the peace of mind of its users knowing that they will have official assistance for longer than the initial time.
Synology offers additional warranty service on its products
In addition to expanding warranty coverage, the plan will introduce direct replacement options. Customers will be able to contact Synology directly to send in their faulty device and request a working one. This simplifies logistics for both the user and the company. Advanced options are also available that allow you to receive a replacement drive before shipping the faulty one for seamless storage service.
Extended Warranty Plus is already available in certain European countries, including Spain; besides North America. To activate it, there is a period of 90 days from the purchase of the device through your Synology Account panel, or directly from DSM in version 7.1 and later.
Since they just brought out this warranty extension, Synology allows to enjoy a promotional offer valid until August 31, 2022 for all those who bought their device before the introduction of Warranty Plus. Until that day, August 31, the possibility of purchase is extended, beyond the 90-day period, as long as the devices are still covered by the original limited warranty.
