Ghost of Tsushima is still a PS4 game

We have not heard from Ghost of Tsushima on PlayStation 4 for over a year. They claim that it has not been moved to PlayStation 5.

It's been over a year since Sony or Sucker Punch showed off Ghost of Tsushima news. Specifically, when its gameplay was seen at E3 2018. This has made it be expected as a PlayStation 5 game, although technically it will be since the next Sony console will be backward compatible with at least Playstation 4.

It's still a PS4 game

In a post on the official PlayStation blog that quickly shows the latest PS5 details , SIE CEO Jim Ryan mentioned the exclusive games that remain for PlayStation 4, Ghost of Tsushima among them.

According to Ryan, " While there's much more to share about PlayStation 5 in the coming year, we have games still to be released on PS4, including Death Stranding , The Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima ." This confirms that the game hasn't been ported to the next-gen console, and those hoping to play it on PlayStation 4 won't be disappointed.

Given Sucker Punch's previous statements about feeling pressured to meet Sony's first-party standards, the team's media silence seems obvious. After all, Naughty Dog just ended a long silence regarding The Last of Us Part II and impressing with its end result. Hopefully after the Naughty Dog title comes out early next year they will start promoting what will be the last major console exclusive. For now, we just have to wait and we were left with the idea that if we wanted to play it we would not have to buy a new console.
