Gigabyte will finally launch AMD RX Vega graphics, launching the Gigabyte RX Vega 64 WindForce 2X and the Gigabyte RX Vega 56 WindForce 2X.
Some information has appeared, about Gigabyte, which for a few days made us think that Gigabyte had given up the launch of a custom model of the AMD RX Vega and that information had appeared saying that the company was fed up with the delays in the arrival of GPU Vega and they had considered not launching custom models. This has just fallen, since Gigabyte does have custom models, specifically the company will launch the Gigabyte RX Vega 64 WindForce 2X and the Gigabyte RX Vega 56 WindForce 2X.
The company has opted for the WindForce 2X heatsink, a somewhat smaller, but powerful heatsink that will keep the graphics card well cooled. The heatsink has two blocks of aluminum fins, traversed by several 8mm copper heatpipes, to bring the heat from the GPU to the aluminum fins and thus dissipate the heat in an efficient way. It has opted for two 100mm fans, capable of dissipating all the heat. The heatpipes are in direct contact with the GPU and the HBM2 memories. The PCB of this graphics card has been completely redesigned by Gigabyte.
A backplate has been integrated, to give more robustness to the PCB, preventing it from bending and a copper area has been integrated in this backplate together with an integrated heatpipe, to dissipate the heat from the PCB and non-conductive thermal pads have been integrated of electricity. The two fans blow air directly at the heatsink, but one of the fans operates in a clockwise direction, while the other operates in reverse.
The completely custom-designed PCB features 13 VRM phases and is powered by two 8-pin PCIe connectors. These two graphics cards have factory overclocking, but the frequency of the GPU has not been specified, yes, the frequencies of the HBM2 memories do not suffer any modification. It's funny, but these graphics have three DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0, something quite unusual. The date of arrival to the market and the price have not been disclosed.
