Gigabyte MA10-ST0, a motherboard developed for low-power servers

Gigabyte has introduced the Gigabyte MA10-ST0 motherboard, a motherboard developed for servers and storage systems, featuring a soldered-on-board Intel Atom C3958 processor.

The big brands not only live on specific hardware for gaming, they also offer other solutions or other platforms for all kinds of solutions. Gigabyte has launched a new motherboard, specifically the Gigabyte MA10-ST0 Atom C3000. This new motherboard has been developed to do server functions and makes use of Intel's 'Denverton' architecture. Gigabyte has also said that it makes use of the new processor architecture on the Gigabyte MA10-ST0 board, which allows "to offer a new level of performance efficiency in cold storage and space of the enterprise network".

This MA10-ST0 board offers us a combined solution through a high-end Intel SKU of the new generation C3000, specifically the Atom C3958 SoC, which allows to cover the needs of cold storage and network for users with the highest efficiency . Denverton offers great connectivity through low power consumption. This unknown Atom C3958 processor is a SoC that integrates sixteen cores with low power consumption, 'providing a great performance / watt performance through Intel's Enterprise line'.

Through this new architecture and sixteen Atom cores, we have a board with great I / O options in a compact, low-power design. The processor's 20x speed I / O lines offer support for sixteen HDD units or eight HDDs with a PCIe x8 lane, which are controlled by an automatic switch. This motherboard features dual USB 2.0 ports, and two 10G SFP + Gigabit LAN ports. The processor is soldered to the motherboard and in addition this MA1'-ST0 has 32GB eMMC flash memory, which allows a RAM memory installation for a quick and easy configuration. Finally we leave you the complete specifications:
