Gigabyte Introduces BRIX Gaming GT Computer

Gigabyte's new solution, within the BRIX family, designed for video game fans who want a compact device.

Gigabyte has presented a new solution of small format and great features, within its line of BRIX computers, called Gaming GT. This small team has an i7 6700K inside and can also house a GTX 1070 or a GTX 1080, capable of moving any game. Gigabyte has thought of offering two SKUs, for the end user to decide what interests him the most and also to offer two different pricing solutions.

The heart of this equipment is the Intel i7 6700K processor, which has four cores operating at a frequency of 4GHz and can be increased by Boost technology, which offers the user extra performance if needed. Gigabyte has guaranteed that it will not be without connectivity. What stands out the most is that it has a USB Type-C port, which is compatible with Thunderbolt 3, so we can connect devices that use this technology, screens and a large number of peripherals to this port.

Regarding the hardware, in addition to the processor and graphics cards mentioned, it has 16GH of DDR4 RAM, a 2GB M.240 SSD unit and a 2.5 ”mass storage unit, working at 7200RPM and 1TB of capacity. It has an Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 3165NGW network card and an Atheros Killer E2400 network card. Finally, in the field of connectivity, it has a USB 3.1 Type-C port and a USB 3.1 Type-A port and three USB 3.0 ports, in addition to the microphone input and audio output.

As a compact device that it is, it has 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2, which give us the ability to work without cables and connect peripherals without major problems. Storage also stands out, with a first large capacity M.2 SSD unit for the operating system and a 1TB HDD to store all the data, avoiding unnecessary writing on the primary unit. Availability and departure date are still unknown.
