Gods and Monsters won't be out until at least April

Ubisoft has pushed back Gods and Monsters and several more games to the next fiscal year. It may be related to the poor reception of The Division 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Ubisoft announced in its E3 conference an intellectual property by part of the creators of Assassin's Creed Odyssey called Gods and Monsters. This title for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, PC and Nitendo Switch had a greater influence from Greek mythology and some even said that it looked a lot like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That color in such an ambitious adventure was not the usual since Ubisoft always seems to go for the adult audience in games of this caliber.

A major delay for Ubisoft

At a recent shareholder conference, Ubisoft announced that it has had to delay Gods and Monsters and other major games to the next fiscal year. That means that, since the next fiscal year begins in April 2020, this game will not be released until that month.

Gods and Monsters was scheduled to come out throughout the month of February. That means that the delay is at least two months assuming that they are going to delay it for the shortest possible time, but they will have to adjust their release schedule together with Watch Dogs Legion and Ghost Recon Quarantine, games that the French company has delayed. until the next fiscal year.

We thought this because they expected to have Gods and Monsters like other game as a service, even if it is for the very young. But having several games of this style released in a row has made games like The Division 2 y Ghost Recon Breakpoint have sold less than expected by the French company. Hopefully as they have seen the results they will want to space out their releases next year so as not to cannibalize their sales and let all their games have room to breathe and sell.
