Google Allo web, the messaging service can now be used in the browser, like WhatsApp
Google launches the Google Allo web service, a service that was announced at Google I / O 2016 and has taken a little over a year to arrive, but it is a great solution.
It took an infinity, but after more than a year of being announced by Google, through its messaging service Google Allo, it has a web version. Google announced it during Google I / O 2016, but it has taken a long time to develop a web system that allows messaging. Hangouts has been quite a failure and now it implements it with its messaging service. The Google Allo web system was leaked more than half a year ago by one of the executives in charge of development, although at that time it was only a prototype.
Time has passed quickly and finally Google already has Allo web ready, a system that is much like the WhatsApp Web system more than the Hangouts system. To log in, we simply have to scan the QR code that appears on the web, with the Google Allo application and the login is automatic, therefore the similarities with WhatsApp are quite a few. This system allows us to send messages and receive them on the web, in addition, to ask different questions to the Google robot, which allows us to perform simple searches or chat.
Currently Google Allo is only available for Android system, not for iOS, but support will be offered shortly. The Allo web client is only compatible with Google Chrome, at least for the moment and it may be possible to use it in other browsers in the future. Allo web functions are limited compared to the application. This function does not allow deleting conversations, blocking contacts or the function of adding or removing members in groups, basically it allows chatting and little else, at least for now.
