Unknown group BitPico wants SegWit2X to run at all costs on Bitcoin
A group called BitPico appears, threatening the implementation at all costs of SegWit2X, the Bitcoin hardfork or disconnecting from the BTC network, although no one knows who or who these people are.
New mess inside Bitcoin. A few days ago the option of implementing SegWit2X within the network of this cryptocurrency was terminated. Now it has seemed what a group or individual appears to be known as BitPico, which has threatened to activate SegWit2X, as initially planned by the developers of this initiative as a proposal to scale the difficulty of this cryptocurrency, which before the lack of interest of the community, has ended up being closed in false.
Developer Jeff Garzik, project leader Mike Belshe, and Bitmain CEO Jihan Wu, the top leaders of the SegWit2X project, said they were shutting down this initiative after failing to achieve consensus in the mining community. This has been a great rest for the users of the community before a new fork, which will avoid the division of the blockchain of this cryptocurrency and thus new problems. BitPico, who do not know who they are, promise to launch the hardfork at all costs. The user or users behind BitPico have released the following statement regarding the fork:
'We will carry out the fork regardless of whether everything is in motion. Backing up the difficulty right now is a strategy. Why did the network hash rate of 30% disappear? It is ours; the miners will continue what is set in motion… A handful of humans cannot stop what they have no control… '
This threat is based on BitPico, whatever it is, wants to run the SegWit2X and they have an important specific weight, because they have 30% of the Bitcoin hashrate and have disconnected it from the network. This serves as a major threat and no one really knows who is behind this brand. The threat is quite futile, since we must bear in mind that this small group did not sign the famous New York Agreement (NYA) and is not on the list of Bitcoin.org, where the followers of SegWit2X are specified.
