CORSAIR launches a 12VHPWR connector so that your graphics card does not melt

It is well known that the 12VHPWR connector is giving problems and is blown by Connection issues, either because it is poorly built, because the user connects it wrong... Until they release new batches that confirm that the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 that use it have modified it, we will not be sure. But manufacturers like CORSAIR are coming up with solutions with a 180-degree cable that should prevent the connector from slipping and causing connection problems that would melt the graphics connector.

Corsair today launched its 12 degree 180VHPWR GPU power connector. for PCIe 5.0 graphics cards. This cable will also allow PC builders to give their equipment a neater look while reducing cable stress on the 12VHPWR power connectors.

CORSAIR wants your graphics with 12VHPWR connector not to melt thanks to its new cable

This new 12VHPWR cable has been designed with Nvidia's RTX 4000 series graphics cards in mind, the ones with this new connector. But this cable adapter does not support graphics cards with reversed power connectors. These would be the ones like the custom ROG Strix and TUF Gaming graphics cards from the ASUS RTX 4000 series, and it is possible that some more custom models will join the list in the future.

With its 1080 degree bend this power bridge is designed to further enhance the look of PCs with 12VHPWR graphics cards and to reduce the strain on 12VHPWR cables by reducing the need for cable bending. With that you want to prevent the 12VHPWR connectors from bending or get crushed by the side panel of the case. In addition, having fewer cables, improves airflow for coolingoit's components.

Corsair has designed its PSU power cable to withstand high temperatures up to 105 degrees Celsius. This should allow you to use this power cable, even with the most power demanding graphics cards. The Corsair website does not currently list the price for the 12VHPWR coenctor.
