Intel compares its Arc A750 vs RTX 3060 in more than 40 games
This week Intel released a set of performance tests for its ARC A750 graphics card , comparing it to Nvidia's NVIDIA RTX 3060. They claim it showed stronger average performance across a set of 49 titles, including 43 games using DirectX 12 and 6 games using Vulkan.
When gaming at 1440p resolution , Intel's ARC A750 is 5% faster than Nvidia's RTX 3060 on average. At 1080p, Intel's ARC A750 offers smaller performance advantages of 3% and 4% in DirectX 12 and Vulkan games, respectively.
The Arc A750 slightly better than a 360 when playing modern games
Intel's ARC A750 promises great performance at a competitive price, which could take on NVIDIA and AMD. Intel has admitted that it has a lot of work to do to optimize its drivers for games that use legacy APIs like DirectX 11, which are still used in many modern PC games.
In games that use DirectX 12, the performance levels of Intel's ARC A750 graphics card can vary significantly from game to game compared to Nvidia's RTX 3060. At 1080p in Dolmen, the Nvidia RTX 3060 is significantly faster than the Intel ARC A750, delivering less than 80% of Nvidia's performance. In other cases, such as Resident Evil Village, the ARC A750 can offer more than 20% better performance. But overall, the Intel graphics card comes out on top most of the time, and Intel only improves at 1440p.
At 1440p, the Intel ARC A750 offers bigger performance advantages over the RTX 3060 on average. There are more games where both graphics cards reach performance parity, and few games where there are significant performance drawbacks. These are good figures for Intel, that if they really put it at a more affordable price, they will be able to get many interested parties. But it must be said that they have used games with Directx12 and Vulkan, so old games or games that simply do not use DirectZ12 would have lower performance due to the problems that Intel has with its compatibility as they are practically new in the graphics card sector.
